Dr Claire Elise Brolan is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. From 2012 – 2016 Claire worked on the Go4Health Project, an international research collaborative that supported the EU’s preparation of future EU innovation and development policy for the health-related 2030 Agenda. She also managed the Knowledge Management Centre of the Bloomberg Philanthropies Data for Health Initiative in 2017. This initiative partners with 20 LMICs to improve health data through strengthening CRVS systems. Drawing on her interdisciplinary knowledge and intersectional work experience in the social sciences, international law, global health policy and CRVS, Claire now examines emerging policy and rights questions regarding the de jure/de facto engagement, participation, inclusion and leadership by communities and minority populations in the roll-out of the 2030 Agenda by countries. This focus will continue when she joins the Centre for Policy Futures, The University of Queensland, in mid-2018.
