Gloria Mathenge is Social Statistician at the Pacific Community (SPC). With qualifications in demography and public health, Gloria provides technical assistance and advice to governments of the Pacific in the development of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems and in the analysis of administrative data generated by civil registration and health information systems. She is the lead coordinator of the Brisbane Accord Group.
Previously, Gloria worked at the United Nations Economic commission for Africa where she provided technical assistance to African governments in the development of CRVS systems. She is a co-author of the Africa CRVS assessment tools and guidelines, and the regional vital statistics guideline.
She serves in the IUSSP special panel on CRVS and the Young Statisticians committee of the International Statistical Institute (ISI).
