Anneke Schmider is presently a CRVS consultant for IDRC, and the Deputy Director for Global Health and Digital Transformation at Abt Britain, London.

Here she talks about the need for a continued drive towards progress, centred around outcomes, and collaboration as a global community. She points out that while global momentum has recently begun to build behind CRVS, the challenge now is to get action and progress on the ground.

The international conference on innovations in Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems was held in Ottawa on 27-28 February, 2018.
